GM FoodsFrom BBC "Acting on unfounded, unscientific fears, many European governments have blocked the import of all new biotech crops," Mr Bush said.
And he's right. What is the big deal about biotech crops? What great danger are people forseeing? I suppose there may be a slight chance of complications if the food is padly designed and someone eats a whole lot of it. But what's worse, dying of cancer at age 80, or dying of hunger and malnutrition at age 12? Secondly, I don't think GM foods pose even that threat. The US has been eating modified foods for two decades now. We are a living labratory. The only thing that has happened to us is we got fat. That means they work.
